35mm Film Archive

Photographer John "35" Gabrysiak snaps a wild range of subjects on film. He began experimenting with a variety of negative and reversal films back in 2011, always favoring analog over the digital medium. Born in 1994, he grew up in Oakhurst, New Jersey (a mile from the Atlantic Ocean). Now he calls Seattle home and is inspired by the vast beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

35mm Film Archive was created out of his Belltown apartment in October 2017 as a vehicle to share his collection of film photography in the modern age. The Archive features a gallery of over 8000 original 35mm exposures (all shot and scanned to digital) by @35mmfilmarchive. He provides both still and motion picture shoots to brands and artists worldwide. Contact for rates and current availability. If you would like to support The Archive please subscribe on all social media platforms.

Artist Statement
I am a film photographer engaged in the ongoing evolution of my photography. I strive to shoot each day, explore new concepts, and work with other visual artists. Photography gives me an opportunity to combine the natural world, fashion, and composition. Making photos with cameras from the 70s and 80s exudes an authentic nostalgia that I've fallen in love with since I shot my first roll at 17 years old. This medium is a reflection and progression for me. I dedicate my life to these moments and that’s why I created 35mm Film Archive—to act as a conscious and continual expression of my art.
